Whatever is happening in the world, you don’t have to look very far to find a hero. So imagine how proud we were when we received this incredible account of how THREE of our staff members went above and beyond the call of duty to help an elderly patron with Alzheimers during a recent performance of The Red Shoes.

During a recent matinee performance of The Red Shoes, Beki Challoner, Mike Croke and Kerrie Slevin went above and beyond to assist one of our elderly patrons, who had gone missing shortly after the performance and was suffering from Alzheimers.

They contacted the local police and reviewed CCTV footage from the matinee, managing to get a clear photo of her outside the building to pass on to police, as well as giving them the direction in which she’d left the theatre.

The three of them took it upon themselves to personally inform our local street wardens, all the while keeping the family informed.

The lady was eventually found by Moor Street Station. She had fallen over with a head injury. They think she was suffering from hypothermia and was rushed to hospital.

They said without the help and initiative of our three heroes, she would have been out overnight and would most probably have died.

They certainly proved our Nothing But the Best ethos! Congratulations to our three heroes. They are a credit to us and the venue.
